Well, Rovaniemi had a June snowfall a couple of years ago, I believe it was in the BBC news as well.

for me here's my year to date:

June was close to average, but prone to cloudy and rainy spells (I suspect the sunshine is off, as it's for another location in the state). A few humid bouts. Clear, sunny, and non-humid weather was hard to find. Around June 20 the weather turned extremely sticky with temperatures rarely going below 70°F and dew points staying mostly in the 70s, sometimes upper 60s. Lasted for a month. Then often below average weather mixed with hotter spells. And in contrast, here's Cambium's location (Norwalk, CT) roughly 80 miles south along the coast and a bit to the west

August was the 16th warmest August in BC since 1895, and in some spots like Prince George, Merritt, and MacKenzie, it was the warmest ever. Here is how the temperature deviated from the 1981-2010 norm. https://mapsengine.google.com/map/vi...U.kJ7s9LwQduAU

Also, in Central England where they have the world's longest temperature record, August was tied For 41st warmest out of 351 years in total.

The yellow bars are the years warmer than August 2013. Green bars indicate a tie with August 2013.
