Well we get plenty of days with more than just two hours of rain here in Vancouver, so I'm used to it at just about any time of the time. If it's gonna be just light rain then at night or early morning is probably best that way it doesn't happen when I'm out and about, though I don't really mind if it happens during the day either. So for light rain I'd probably go for the "random" option just for the sake of variety.

If it's gonna be two hours of downpours during thunderstorms then I would prefer sometime between late afternoon and early night so I can watch the thunderstorm and so it doesn't wake me up in the middle of the night.

Randomly in winter as it's supposed to be cold and rainy.

Overnight in summer.

I'll go with evening (7PM-9PM) during the summer to shorten the length of a sunny day. Winter doesn't matter as much since it gets dark early anyway.

Overnight. Especially cool persistent rain.

Nothing more relaxing than hearing rain fall on your roof whilst sleeping.

Depends on temp, but I'd choose evening - it cools down quickly (usually from 32-33C to 26-28C)
