Which places in the world have the biggest and smallest variation in diurnal temperature range between the highest month to the lowest month?

For example: The highest change in diurnal temperature range in Canada is Castlegar, British Columbia. In August, the temperature varies by 16.1 degrees C (27.7 to 11.6), but only 4.5 degrees in December (0 to -4.5). Therefore, the diurnal temperature range is 11.6 degrees C smaller in December than August.

How does this compare to where you live and to elsewhere in the world?

My location has only a small change in diurnal range. Largest monthly diurnal range is in May, 13.6°C (24.8°F). Lowest in November, 11.0°C (19.8°F). Somewhat related to frequency of clear nights and sun strength. We don't have much seasonal change in sunshine %, which is probably why our diurnal range change is small.

might be the largest in the US:

July: 23.6°C (42.5°F)
January: 9.3°C (16.8°F)

Some place in western Oregon might also be a good contender. Any place with a high dry/wet season contrast.

My area's diurnal range isn't too impressive, May features the largest diurnal range of 16.4F (9.1C), December has the tightest diurnal range with 11.3F (6.3C).

Hayfork Ranger Station is the largest and Bairiki the smallest of these, though there's bound to be ones that beat this. Funafuti might beat it, the data is rounded to the nearest degree so hard to tell.

Chilank Forks (Puntzi Mountain), BC had a high today of 38.0C and a low of 5.7C. This is diurnal variation of 32.3C/58F. This is the hottest temperature ever recorded at this location. Either they had a huge gust of adiabatic wind or they aspirator died. Puntzi Mountain, BC - 7 Day Forecast - Environment Canada

Default DC/Balt+PIT

In the mid-Atlantic and parts of the interior NE, the smallest monthly range tends to be Dec and Jan when the length of the day is shortest and %sun low, if not the lowest; the highest tends to be Apr or May when the sun is strong (and %sun almost invariably >50%) and before the onset of typical sultry summer patterns, as heat waves tend to be dry this time of year.

Based on the .TXT files listed here.

Reagan National: 14.4F/8.0C in December to 19.6F/10.9C in April. Annual average: 17.2F/9.6C
Dulles: 18.6F/10.3C in January to 24.6F/13.7C in April. Annual average: 22.2F/12.3C
BWI: 17.0F/9.4C in January to 21.9F/12.2C in April and May. Annual average: 20.0F/11.1C. Barely 45 m ASL, not so far away from the Chesapeake, and a larger diurnal range than PIT? Total fail.

Baltimore Inner Harbor/MD Science Center: 13.2F/7.3C in January to 18.3F/10.2C in May. Annual average: 15.9F/8.8C
PIT: 14.1F/7.8C in December to 21.5F/11.9C in April/May. Annual average: 18.7F/10.4C
