driest location in sweden. also a very maritime climate for being in lapland, just 60km from the norwegian sea.
Abisko is at some altitude, is it ca 500 m asl?
A short train ride from Narvik.
Not very far from Abisko, following the "Nordkalottleden" hiking route north is Dividalen (Divi Valley) in Norway. The weather station Dividalen at ca 200 m asl was the second driest in Norway (apart from high Arctic Svalbard) with average annual precipitation 282 mm.
The current weather station Dividalen II is not that dry and averages 415 mm anually. Montly 24-hr mean ranges from -10.9C in January to 13C in July.
Here is a weather station at the same latitude as Abisko, but west of the Scandinavian Mountains and at sea level: Skrova in Lofoten.
Station has observed since 1931, but WO only has data back to 1996. Precipitation and snow data from met.no. This is one of the few stations inside the Arctic Circle to record "tropical nights" many summers.
I made the averages of the new Turku Artukainen weather station which has been in operation since June 2010. The years are only full ones, so 2011-2014, records are since inauguration.
What is interesting is that April is yet to hit 20C, and the November record low is the only reading below -10C, otherwise the November low would be higher than the October record, which too was quite close to the all-time record of -15C. The precipitation numbers in September are quite odd.

Another impressing thing is that the sunshine increased. You were around 1800 hours didn't you? That is good! You are like Ioannina now lol. I will tell it to my friends hahaha Finland has the same sunshine like here

Yes, 1840 hours, so sunshine has risen. Though at it's a very short data set the numbers are inflated. For example 2010 had some 1680 hours of sun IIRC.

Yes 4 years are short but in those 4 years you experienced dull and sunny months too. So... Enjoy the sunnnnn!!!
The year where it snowed here. Looks like a pretty crappy year overall, apart from the rare event. I don't have access to sunshine hours because they weren't recorded at the airport then.
I'm also quite dubious about the amount of snow recorded, at the moment I'm just going by the 1mm of rain = 1cm of snow conversion so it's probably quite inaccurate.
Gulsvik in Norway, situated in a valley NW of Oslo. Continental climate by Norwegian standards. Humid continental climate.
