I've seen the Miami-Halifax thread earlier, so I want to create this one by comparing two cities from western Europe.
Both are pretty much the same when comparing Seville (Spain) in January vs Tromso (Norway) in July, but still not equal:
Yeah, I'll take Sevilla. It's way sunnier, abd not as rainy. Sure, it hasn't got that long days but it's far better than what we have right now anyway, and midnight run really isn't that great. It ****s with your sleep schedule.
In a warmish year like in the last year you can have almost everyday maximums of 17-18ºC and sun. And a few days with 20-21-22ºC. That's like early June in Rotterdam/Amsterdam or London.
Should've done Seville in July instead for fairness, as both 15C and 37C highs are relatively extreme. Most people would choose 18C highs instead of 15C (cold lovers would prefer something like 5C).
Seville no question about it. and no they are not "pretty much the same". why would anyone want there to be daylight at night and mess up their internal clock?

We have 3 hours of near-darkness here around summer solstice. It's much better than you think. I've also slept quite a bit at almost 65N in July and I can safely assure that I had no problems at all. I think it's just difficult for someone living in Florida to imagine though, tiredness is tiredness
