Snowing here this AM. There is 1" on my mailbox, all the trees still have most of their leaves, so branches are hanging.

Our high average in Tours is around 18,5c for October. Days above 20c are frequent in the first part of the month and much more rare in the second.

For Washington National D.C. the 1981 to 2010 average is 17, the most being 26 in 1973 and 1971 and the least 5 in 1888 and 1876. The normal monthly high is a shave above 20C at 20.2C, so this makes sense.

For Pittsburgh the average is 11, with the historical range 25 in 1947 down to 4 in 1981, 1977, 1972, 1965 and 1925.

The poll did not include specific ranges so, instead of normally voting for D.C., I voted for the Steel City.

20C is the all time lowest maximum for October in Miami!

Daytona Beach has recorded a high less than 20C in 17 Octobers since 1923.

Both extremes are correct where I live. 0-20c is extremely rare, yet it is always over 20c.

Just about every day in Austin. Most days are in the 80s with the occasional touch of 90 to remind us summer isn't quite gone yet! One day might be in the 60s but back in the 80s the next day.
