Budapest-Ferihegy reports 0C. Forecasted low is 0C during the next nights as well, so will probably go below at some point.

But sick that Yellowknife will have a later first freeze than us. Boke.

BTW, 141 days between freezes here, 151 in Helsinki. Boke. Last year the period was 159 days.

Canada's capital city of Ottawa has not dropped below 0C yet. Came close a few weeks ago with several nights around 2C* but since then it has gone back up by a lot. The minimum last night was 10C, it's currently 18C and the maximum today is forecast at 21C.

Average first frost or freeze date for Ottawa would be this weekend: Oct. 5-6.

Looks like it won't be for another couple of weeks as expected minimums are all above 5C for the next 10 days, and then it starts dropping to just above zero C around the 15-16-17.

The other big cities in central-eastern Canada have not dropped below freezing either. Montreal is usually not long after Ottawa, whereas Toronto is usually a week or so later.

*It dropped to 1.5C at my house in Gatineau during that time and there was frost on my car's windshield, but that doesn't count for Ottawa.

Certainly no sign of frost here for the forseeable future. Our forecast lows are between 10 and 16C for the next week at least.

Maybe eventually by the months end. Showing signs of warm weather finally pissing off on the latest GFS run and that is the first time it has appeared so maybe a trend.
