I like the way it has high diurnal ranges, however I don't like the way its possible to reach 19c in the winter. If it was a true alphine climate it would not exceed 0c very often.
I think I would have to pick somewhere about 500 miles further north.
Pretty nice actually. The only major drawback is that the snow would quickly turn to ice crystals then melt, during the clear, mild spells in winter. Given the high sunshine totals, those spells would have to be quite common.
This is almost perfect, sunny but also snowy winter days, warm summer days and cool summer nights.
I think i would only miss the long summer evenings we get here at 53° North, when living there.
Only drawback besides this, would be the presumbly quick melt of the snow, because of the relatively high sun angle in winter. I give this a B.
I've always thought this was a very nice climate. I'll give it a A-. The minus for warm summer days. Otherwise, I have no complaints. Even with the summer days, it gets nice and cool at night. Nice diurnal range, snowy winters, but with mild days.
D it is just too wet with too many rainy days in the summer. I do like the seasonality even if winter highs are a bit mild. Despite high snowfall it just doesn't last long here. I wonder if they have a serious issue with snow melting during the day and large areas of ice forming at night.

It's a bit frightful. Average low temperatures are crazy bad, not to mention terrible record lows (-4° in August! ) and the huge snowfall amount.
