Why isn't there a dunce cap here? One would be appropriate at this time.
All of the supposed melodrama isn't supposed to occur for decades. If your dunce cap wasn't on you would know there will be no boomers around then and most likely not you either.
What if a One World Government takes over and mankind annihilates itself before all of this gloom and doom comes to fruition?
BTW: The British didn't invent terraced housing. Other civilizations had the jump on that. Look to Spain, Italy and Greece first as their climates were more fitting for such.
Huh? Not everyone that rejects MMGW is a Teapublican with big guns and small brains, you fool. You're gonna need a dunce cap, in addition to mine

To be fair, you did paint those who believe in AGW as lefties, which naturally plants the idea that those on the other side are right-wing. I would say that you are right in that a left-winger is more likely to believe in Global Warming, but in truth, we get people from all over the political spectrum on both sides.
IPCC models say that the climate can warm up by up to 6.4C by 2090-2099. Do you like or hate it?
Me of course not. I would hate the new ultra hot summers.
I wont be around in 2099, but yeah, in my city I'm enjoying less snow and ice, warm winters. In summer, we often get droughts, that is, every day the sun is out............I hate the rain.

Which part of Maryland do you live in? I live right above your state and our summers are pretty waterlogged usually. This year hasn't rained as much as years past so that's nice change for once.
Middle latitudes cooling by that much will probably cause famines and the like. Famines have a bad habit of resulting in civil wars at worst, martial law at best
Oh well, I'm selfish, so I don't care how many people die or suffer due to an extreme change in the Earth's average temperature. Bring on the Little Ice Age.
No global warming please. Perhaps we can contain the rapid warming to North America to please you and the baby boomers, perhaps by constructing a giant greenhouse. The last thing I want is even milder winters than we currently have, and decently cold climates moving further north and north.. until the climate of Turku will only be found in Kiruna, where the sun does not rise in the winter.. lol.

I'm close to DC. I think back in June we had tons of rain, but our winters have been mild. Than again, a few years back we got clobbered with snow. But our pattern has been mild winters, and nothing compared to when I grew up here.
Do I like global warming? It's too warm as it is, so you can imagine how I feel about making it any warmer. A good dose of cooling is needed, and I think Little Ice Age climate would be a great starting point for North America. Perhaps somewhat colder than that, in order to make winters like 1780 and 1717 more common.
Also, if I had the power to conjure up a new climate, I'd also conjure up enough greenhouses to offset any crop losses. Of course, farmers will adapt by growing hardier crops and/or moving south and eventually we'll all be fine, but the transition is the hardest part.
Who in there right mind will be in favor of millions of people around the world to die, shrinking of coastlines, flooding and expansion of deserts?
Many studies indicate the production of food will improve.
Of course, there is no question the climate trend is variable, the disagreement is does man cause any of the change , up or down?
Oh, and where did you get the shrinking of coastlines bit? If the ice caps melt the coastline is going to move inland, not shrink, but expand.
Of course, there is no consistent data that any levels have changed in the last century.

I was going to answer with "morons," "nincompoops," and "those in the US who equate the notion of global warming with liberal ideology, so they refuse to believe it," but then I saw that about 46% of the people answered the poll in the affirmative. I don't want to believe that 46% of people here fall into those first two categories, so perhaps they're just being snarky?
Global warming itself, isn't a liberal ideology, but some of the "solutions" to it are certainly liberal ideology..... That won't do a damn thing but collect more taxes.
