Right now (3.30 pm Sunday), the heat index is 102 in McAllen, Texas, and the windchll is -12 in Pampa, Texas, That's a 114 degree difference, within the same state. Actual temperatures a re +90 and +7 at those two stations.

17.5 °F / -8.1 °C with light snow @ 7:16 AM. Not sure when the snow started exactly, but it's been snowing since at least 2 AM. There's 2 inches (5 cm) on the ground so far from this storm.
