We started out with a windchill of zero and I can't remember the actual temp. But we are now up to a whopping 10 degrees and no wind.

The temps started out in the mid 40s this morning but it has steadily dropped as the front moves further South. It's 41 now. I see they are getting sleet in OkC.

In my five years here we do go through periods of dry weather (mainly in the spring, winter, and fall) with dewpoints below 50 -- in some cases close to zero with temps in the 70s/80s. However, in the summertime, we usually have dewpoints at or above 70 and even around 80 on occasion. Unfortunately, even with high humidity, we don't always have the lifting mechanisms that generate the showers and thunderstorms because of our geographical location causing the weather patterns to remain stagnant during the summer. Therefore we're always coming in or out of droughts. This summer we were the rain bucket of the country, and now we're easing into drought.
No worries.

Like I said it was a AAA Tourbook of Texas.

Again, I am still confused how San Antonio has a dewpoint at 71 F in December and S.P.I has a dewpoint at 76 F...

Aren't the sea surface temperatures in Gulf of Mexico off the Texas coast under 70 F yet?

If I had to make a guess I'd figure it's normal for the sea temp to be between 60-65 F this time of year for sea surface temps.

Wow..be careful out there, Nameless...the Natl Weather Service has now issued 'Ice Storm Warnings' from around Pauls Valley north to Kansas. Winter Storm Watch as soon as you drive into OK from TX toward Ardmore.

It's 38 here in Denton now with on and off showers. Temps are to continue to slowly fall today but they promise no ice.

And OkC's weather forecast for the rest of the week says the temps will hardly break freezing for the high the next several days. I think wed/thurs things will warm up just a little.

right now it is 5 F here in Northern Maine. At 7 AM it was -15F. The wind is still around -5 though. Nice sunny day though and at least it isn't bitter cold yet.

It's all relative I guess...when I was in college in San Antonio, my buddies from up north would be wearing shorts on a 50 degree day while I was bundled up in a jacket!
