We had a high of 48 today, but that was only for an hour or so, most of the day it has been right around 45. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit warmer, up to 60. Just a slow start to Spring this year I guess. At least most of the snow is now just a horrid memory.
What I meant by dust coating is the fine particles our wind blows up when its windy. It's this light coating of fine dirt. Soft and dirty. Run your finger along any surface here and you will see it. You can sort of taste it when your out and it can give a bit of a headache and itchy eyes. As for a dust storm in the monsoon season, that is heavy dust and particulates. A wall if you will of everything from the bottom up. Like a tornado but slow and miles wide. We just had another particulate pollution warning last week so it does effect us more than just at monsoon season. It is very dry here so everything blows around. I happen to live on the edge of Phoenix (Chandler) right bye a big open cattle crossing field and I get pretty dusty out here. This is why my house is a big brown thing, as to not see the dirt. This is why we buy everything brown, isn't it? Well, it was an AC day for me. The summer is almost over, time for Satan to arrive. XD My pool is still at the night time temp. Our temps seem to vary more here from night to day than say back east. It can be 90 in the day and still 60 at night. The pool seems to stay at whatever the night time low is. And yes, I have been here along time and 65 makes me put on a sweater. I would love to experience the snow and a different climate though, but I do have a little fear(hence my other thread). Hope to get some answers on how people take the switchero. Todays temp was about 92 with a low tonight around 57 to 67. When the night time low hits about 70 - 75 I will be swimming!!!! Until October!!!!!!To stay alive out here!!!!!!!!!lol
I actually love the desert because I love hot weather. Vegas is better than Phoenix in my opinion. Also, I like that homes are cheap compared to LA and you can get a mansion with a pool for under 1mil that would cost 5mil easily in Los Angeles.
twiggy, I feel ya. If it's below 75*, I'm wearing pants and a jacket. 80* is still T-shirt and pants. 85* is T-shirt and shorts. Anything higher is perfect.
It's ok twiggy, I don't want to trade with you either

Well I'll trade with you, NC. TWC was showing that you may get rain down in the Houston area for a big part of the day. So will that cool things off or just make the humidity worse? May be a silly question, but it can do either one up here.
It is a beautiful 65 degrees and we're heading for 76 today. Our average for the day is 67 so we're doing good today and also tomorrow. Then we'll be back to about 60 or just a bit above again.
Even though I prefer 80s, I really can't complain. Our trees are budding and our pink trees and white trees should be blooming in less then a week. We have some tulips starting to bloom now. AWWW, there really is life out there.
