It looks like we are having a brief mild spell but a cold spell is coming at the week end with an artic northely. England's weather is highly moderated by the gulf stream current off the atlantic and can even be surprisingly mild in winter in a south westerly wind bringing tropical maritime air. February this year saw widespread temperatures of 14-16c (57-61f) on one day because of a similar phenomena. But only a few days later it didn't get above freezing.

Last's nights temperature, the "low" so far for 20th November was 10.1c/50f, the warmest of the month so far. It will probably be the last such night time low until next April. That said there was a freakish day in January where the overnight low was 52f this year. I sometimes forget in winter that this place is 53 degrees north... until we get snow in March and April that is.
