75 today and around 45 last night (We pay for every "good" day with our summer temps of over 110).

Just checked TWC and it's minus 24 with a windchill of minus 37. Our winds are very light, but the dewpoint is minus 31. I did see it drop to minus 25, but that wouldn't be a record. It was minus 30 in 1972. They did say that record lows were set in several places this morning.

It's supposed to warm up to 1 above today. This is the last day of our Arctic blast. It's been miserable.

I just heard on the local radio the list of schools that closed for today in central MN due to the cold.

25 school districts were listed, which is all of them in central Minnesota.

It has been awhile since area schools closed due to cold weather ( safety of the kids going to and from)

That is very unusual. It feels so cold here and I can just imagine what it's like over there.

-6° F (-21°C), wind chill -27, sun is out, not helping much!

I was going to start my car, go for a short ride but I can't get the garage door up, opener takes it a foot or so then stops. Don't want to bypass it and do it by hand, I don't need to go out that bad! Its a double door dang thing is heavy.
