They're mentioning this for the coast, but it's bad here!
Statement as of 10:27 AM AKST on February 07, 2009
... Blizzard Warning in effect until 4 PM akst this afternoon
along the coast...
The National Weather Service in Anchorage has issued a Blizzard
Warning... which is in effect until 4 PM akst this afternoon.
Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with local gusts to 45 mph combined
with areas of snow will reduce visibilities to one quarter mile
or less at times along the coast through this afternoon. Snow and
winds will diminish through the afternoon hours resulting in
improving conditions.
A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to white-out
conditions... making travel extremely dangerous. All travel and
outdoor activity is strongly discouraged.
