It was a gorgeous day here today - to me! Partly cloudy - leaves blowing in the breeze. About 56 degrees. Many people walking dogs, children playing outside, walkers. Wunderbar!
To all those posting from California my sincerest condolences on the loss of four Oakland Police Department officers by a convict out on parole.
I'd also like to offer my condolences to the Cali members here. That is such a horrible loss. We also lost a Deputy Sheriff in my state last week due to gunfire. May they all R.I.P.

My heart goes out to their families. What IS this world coming to? My next door neighbor - 81 yr old widow, had some thugs banging on the side of her house and rattling the doorknobs like they were trying to get in. When I asked WHY why why didn't she call us, she told me she wasn't scared - she was MAD. Well, now.....I am wondering what would have happened to the thug had he actually entered her house - I am thinking she had some buckshot in mind. Bless her!!!!!!!!!!! However, I am so upset by this, and actually - I AM MAD AS HELL too! Damnit.

I live in the San Gabriel Valley in California. Usually it's smoggy and warm with very little rain.But this year's been like crazy; Very cold and the next days is like summer and vise versa.Just like today and yesterday. It's a differnce of 20 degrees. Today was so windy and cold but after the rain there was a beautiful sunset! Tomorrow should be warming up again.
I've never posted here before because the weather here has always been the same. Now it's kinda weird.
