Karlsruhe. Very good summers, perhaps the best in Germany. Winter isn't too cold either.
Vancouver winters are awfully wet, summers are pleasant and sunny though.

Karlsruhe's much better summers win it for me.

Both suck
Karlsruhe for warmer summers.

Karlsruhe for being warmer during the summer and colder in the winter, but that's not saying much. Both have very low sunshine hours annually.

I will say that Karlsruhe has an impressive record average max of 32.6C

Karlsruhe for the better summers. Winters are only slightly colder in Karlsruhe compared to here so doesn't make up for the much warmer summers.

I prefer Karlsruhe due to the better summers.

Another lopsided poll. But Tórshavn vs Stockholm can be even more lopsided, I don't think there is anyone on this forum who will take Tórshavn over Stockholm.

Karlsruhe for its slightly colder winters for me, regarding the summers well this is almost borderline for me, in the past summers their absolute highs had been quite often between 37°C and 40°C (99 to 104°F).

But still Vancouver in winter is just awfully wet, while in Karlsruhe you will see snow more often.

i dont think its that lopsided. annual average temperature is roughly the same and so is the latitude. only difference is that karlsruhe is a bit more seasonal and drier.
