What´s the highest Heat index ever recorded in Houston and Miami ?

Do they actually record that? Probably 115-120 for Miami I've not spent much time in Texas.

Don't know for sure, but over the last 10 years:

I think both cities have seen 115-120F heat indecies for sure.

Houston probably has but for Miami I highly doubt it. the highest it's gotten while I've lived here is 110f. I checked all the records back till the 1998 heat wave and nothing breaks 110f.

Record high? I would bet yes, but the Midwest doesn't have the consistently high heat indecies that the South and Texas always have during the summer.

This was my first summer in the far south suburbs of Chicago back in 2011 (no lake cooling).





Iowa sees insane dew point levels out in the middle of soy bean towns



Appleton Wisconsin might have the highest heat index ever recorded in the US

yep in fact the 2nd highest dew point ever recorded in the usa occurred in Appleton, Wisconsin with a dew point of 90f!!!.
