Whoops...I Forgot.

Make the arctic corridor start just right above Iceland, extending to the southern tip of Greenland.

My idea (based on Holridge work and "infoclimat" ideas):
  • Tropical: 12 months above 14°C and Annual Biotemperature>23°C
  • Subtropical:8 months above 14°C and AB>17°C
  • Warm Temperate: 6 months above 14°C and AB>13°C
  • Mixed Temperate: 4 months above 14°C and AB>9°C
  • Cool Temperature: 4 months above 10°C and AB>6°C
  • Boreal/Subalpine: 1 month above 10°C and AB>3°C
  • Subpolar: 1 month above 3°C and AB>1.5°C
Polar: Too cold to bee subpolar

So the UK is in the same zone as places like Winnipeg, or Montana? And a lot of Russia, northern Japan etc... LOL no.

It's far too simplistic. How does it differentiate between continental and oceanic climates?

It's a general global classification, each sub-zone will have differentiations between continental, subcontinental, suboceanic and oceanic.

Also the subtropical zone include dry subtropical (deserts and semi-arid areas) and humid subtropical, they're totally different but both subtropical.
