Almost all warm weather activity is possible when its a dry 30 C. I am surprised people hate such weather. Warm & dry 30 C days followed by cool nights around 17 C invokes a cheerful summer mood.
30 F is quite cold to walk 5 miles, and annoying as well with all that bulky clothing. I refuse to bundle up in winter because it makes me look fat. Have any of you tried walking it with nothing other than a light waterproof jacket, thin long sleeve shirt, and jeans with sneakers. Perhaps add gloves when its below 10 F. That's what I wear for winter in New Jersey, so my only option is to limit outdoor exposure. Winter jackets suck.
30 F...much more comfortable. Refreshing and invigorating. Unless it's really windy, I usually would have to unzip my jacket since walking warms me up pretty quickly.

Walking 5 miles in 30C would be an uncomfortable experience for me - entirely possible, but unpleasant and I would not choose to do so voluntarily. It certainly doesn't invoke a cheerful mood in me - more like lethargy.
A 5 mile walk in 30F would be a pleasant experience for me though, and I do that in the winter as often as possible. I don't wear bulky clothing either - I don't own a large coat and I don't wear hats or gloves, so even if it's 19F with freezing fog, I will happily walk for miles with no gloves, no hat and a jacket/jeans/sneakers. No problem for me at all.
In fact, I took this picture back in January in the very conditions I described above, in the very clothing too. A thoroughly enjoyable walk as I recall.
If 27-28C is close enough, I've done them both, and strongly prefer the 30F. Though it included carrying heavy equipment and on a trail, I walked with only a thin jacket and t-shirt. 30C could be nice for a garden walk, but marching in it is hell.
