If you were to spend the day at a theme park (plenty of shade available, water bottles and squirt bottles also available for purchase), which conditions would you prefer? Most of the lines are under shaded areas and the entertainment venue is in a covered area as well but you also have the option of watching the entertainment in the open sun if you opt for the colder choice.
A) The first day of opening is during a cold spring day. Temperatures are 35 F but sunny with calm winds.
B) A mid summer heat wave with temperatures of 35 C but low humidity under sunny skies.
Obviously the second one. 35C sounds like a great day to be at a theme park I can't imagine them even opening a theme park in a place like FL or CA if it was 35F outside. You'd have to wear a parka to go on most of the rides as there would be a windchill factor due to going fast. Doesnt sound like a lot of fun to me...
35°C. Been ages since I went to a theme park, but 35°C sounds more fun. 35°F on a water ride doesn't sound much fun. Though on the former the waiting time would probably be much shorter. Nearby Disneyland is open all year long. Went there in February in the 90s, I think they only close water rides when it dips below freezing.

That is nuts. Paris has similar winters to Vancouver and I can't imagine having a theme park open year round here. It would be very unpleasant being on a roller coaster at 35-40F. How they can stay in busineds during the winter in Disneyland Paris is beyond me...

We do have a theme park here, the Pacific National exhibition and it's only open May to September. I think if they tried to open it year round they would go bankrupt as almost nobody would go during the colder part of the year and they would still have to pay people to work there and ride maintenance. Do you really think pepple would enjoy going on a roller coaster or water ride at 5C in the pouring rain in January?
I guess Disney is famous enough to attract visitors in winter. They chose mild enough places to be able to open their parks year-round. Paris gets less snow than Vancouver. They have a lot of indoor rides compared to other parks. Most of the visit can be spent indoors I think.
Actually, some of our theme parks close for part of the year - and I wasn't aware of it. Thorpe Park is closed until March. Flamingo Land remains open year-round however.
35C with low humidity is perfectly pleasant for me, as long as I'm not working. 35F isn't really amusement park type weather.
