I HATE early sunsets. I'd much prefer 6PM year-round.

Yea I do.

I kind of just don't leave the house after six. Around here most people come in from work and stay in, there ain't much on after 4.

Come here. Indonesia has sunrise/sunset times close to 6am/6pm year round.

Getting home after sunset is dreadful.

And doesn't the longest day of the year seem to come much too early in the summer season? I hate to see it come and go in June - seems like the summer is already peaking - have to remind myself that there are still a few good months left!

Coming home time after sunset for this location, roughly:

4pm 1 month
5pm 3 months
6pm 5 months
7pm 6 months
8pm 8 months
9pm 9 months

A long period of dark early evenings, but also quite a few months of late sunsets. There isn't much of the year when the sun sets around 7pm, just a couple of weeks in late September and early October.

I'd consider 6 PM quite early itself. When much of the year it's light at 10 PM, it really doesn't matter if sun sets at 6 or 3 PM the rest of the time, it's all early.

I'm currently looking forward to imminent dark mornings myself, I already wake up before sunrise. Dark afternoons will take a bit more time but will arrive with a crash when clocks are turned back in October.

I like early sunsets. The earliest it gets here is 16:10, and I come home from school at about 21:00 (when I have school in the afternoon), so it's pretty dark by then. Even at the end of school year, the sunset is at 20:50, so I still come home after it.
