So September to May/June.
If my city has seen settling snow in September once in the last 100 years (1986) and never a single snowfall in June, I'm quite damn sure that your oceanic island hasn't either.

Its much colder here in the summer and we often get North -Westerlies from Iceland.

I have a higher chance of snow in June than you..

July 1888 somewhere on UK Weather world (though this may now be in the Archives which were not accessible the last time I tried to access them), there was a reference to snow in that month on "Nostan Mountain", Co. Antrim. This is presumably a misprint for Trostan Mountain near Cushendall, the highest mountain in Co. Antrim (not particulary high - somewhere between 1700 and 1800 feet)

Going to add in the official data here (since 1949). I can't find data going back long enough where single snowflakes were observed but i have data from those days when a snowcover was reported of at least 1 cm (0.4 inches) depth.

So the earliest lying snow was indeed the October 24th 2003 and the latest date where a snowcover was reported was on April 16th 1966 with a 1 cm covering.

4 Oct 2014 and 23 Apr 2012, both flurries amounting to a trace, in Pgh. Earliest measurable is definitely 29 Oct 2011 while latest is perhaps 15 Apr 2014 (as measured at KPIT; don't remember if city proper received anything that day)

I'll go with snow falling rather than accumulating.

Earliest was 28 October 2008, the first snow falling in October for 74 years. The latest was 7th April 2008.
