Miami have a tropical climate, winter are just too warm for sub tropical climate and vegetations in Miami are tropical.
New Orleans have sub tropical climate.

I would describe Miami as Semi-Tropical. it can support some tropical s but many can't tolerate our cold winters. if you look at the plants that make up S.FL Half of them are tropical and half are temperate suggesting a semi-tropical climate.

My favorite tropical climate is Fort Lauderdale because it's a rainforest with cold snaps

Honolulu is pretty good.

And some other top notch tropical climates:
Christmas Island - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Adamstown, Pitcairn Islands - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Medellín - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Toliara - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

And a borderline subtropical/tropical:
Hamilton, Bermuda - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Medellín would be my favorite if the lows were about 10F higher.
