The Swedish one. Winters in the Minnesotan one are a bit too cold, and the Swedish one seems fairly snowy - snowier than Stockholm I presume.

The Swedish one if the summer conditions are sunny with little wind. The MN has too many bouts of extreme cold in winter.

On a totally unrelated note, my mom's maiden name is Karlstad, that side of the family is 100% Norwegian, living in South Dakota. I have never heard of anyone other than the extended family on that side with that last name, makes me wonder if those folks in MN and in Sweden who founded those towns are somehow related to my family.

My vote goes to Karlstad, Sweden- not as cold in winter.
