It was a joke. If you don't like cold it's ok.

But yes, some people are overreacting about heat as well.

I still like the idea of a large number of conscripts in North Dakota: "erm, let's abandon this wasteland and make a tactical withdrawal... to Florida".

Does Finland get as cold as North Dakota?

Our area is far from a wasteland.... I realize you meant that in jest and not serious. But Florida yuck I would never in a million years live that far south.... Honestly as you are probably aware....people who dont live in a cold climate that it is worst that it is.... as I am sure I over-estimate the impact of living in a hot one.

Sure, in the far north. But I'm luckily 900 km away from those areas. I'm no fan of extreme cold either.

Yes, it was not meant as an insult. Not at all.

But Florida has way more people moving there, even with how crowded it all ready is.

Gordo....so you live in Moncton. I would love to live there if I could. I used to dream about that place growing up where I did in the American south and dreaming up my climate. I was into weather and still am (my job is weather forecasting) and I would have Moncton get 50-60 cm of snow all the time. I have bookmarked the NB travel tourism webcams But one negative for me is your area is a bit too warm as it can get to 0C and you can get all that rain/snow mix slush sometimes. So I would rather take the prairies and below zero F and less snow.... more pretty that way and less icky slush.
