My rating: A. The best climate on earth I've seen so far, even better than Beckley, WV.

It has the perfect mix of interest and comfort: snowy and variable winters without much rain and stable summers with loads of thunderstorms.
The rather low record high for a "Southern" US place particularly impresses me . Don't know how common ice days are there, I hope they get a few each winter.
Snow in April and probably too much sun in winter are the only downsides of this climate but worse things happen at sea, it's still the best.

D. I don't like climates with a high winter standard deviation because that means the snow can melt.

70% / C-. Too arid year round, and summers are too cool, especially at night. Record highs are anemic.

Due to slightly cooler summers and warmer springs I prefer this to Denver.

I prefer a Mediterranean rainfall pattern and a little less diurnal variation. However, this climate offers nice seasonal variation and is likely sunny so I'll give it a C+.

The winters look pretty nice as do the summers that follow, and I like the annual sunshine totals. Warm summers that are dry and sunny followed by moderate winters that still get snow and lots of sun. Looks pretty good to me...
