Tough one but Sydney for me, more stable throughout the year and the Californian one is too dry.

Sydney would get torrential rain that goes for a day, with the next fortnight (or month even) being mostly dry. Other climates, especially the more oceanic/drizzlier ones tend to have milder rain every 48 hours, ranging from 0.5mm-3mm.
Just had a look at that and you're right, over 800mm over just 117 days (at only the 0.1mm threshold) - that's even fewer than here on average!
