My choice is Stockholm... Better in almost every aspect: more stable snowpack in winter, longer (but still not too cold) winters, cooler summers (Chicago's hot and humid summers would make me insane). Chicago is better only in precipitation (Stockholm is surprisingly dry), also I'd prefer a bit warmer May and September than Stockholm has and a bit sunnier winters.

Stockholm, for the reasons already mentioned, although the weather there right now is crap compared to Chicago and a complete contrast to last year's snow fest. Both locations are too unreliable for a snow pack IMO.

Easily Chicago, with it's more defined seasons, much warmer summers and more precipitation and storms whilst at the same time having more sunshine.

I'd say Chicago has a slightly warmer climate, but that they are both freezing.

Chicago

Warmer, longer summer.
Better shoulder seasons.

Very true. Stockholm's forecast on Weather Underground is quite shocking. I see all rain, no snow, and not even any freezing temperatures in the short or long term forecast! Epic fail.

I'm not sure, Chicago is more interesting and Stockholm is annoyingly mild for its latitude. I guess I go with Chicago despite the fact that's warmer most of the year. Stockholm has an annoying climate to me.
