On average, climatic winter (long term daily average below freezing) starts in the last third of November.

On average i would say Late November, but this season even now i wouldn't call it winter here.

mid-late december if you're going by the 0C mean. but in reality, winter may not start at all, or start in mid-late march. you'll never know.

Around 20 November, when the mean temp goes permanently below freezing. This year though it's yet to happen. Highs should go below freezing at around 20 December, but at this rate it will go into February.

In December when the Trade winds start up (the "Christmas Winds") and the nighttime temperatures sink to an incredibly cold 68-70 degrees. Time to get under the comforter and get the wooly socks out of the closet ...
