The last time was in 2011 when we had zero depth but then on the 30th-31st we had 6 inches

Yes I'd love snow for the holidays but also from November 1st to April 1st. We just don't get enough of it here. I'm so in the mood for a big blizzard. I bought snow suits for my dogs and I'm just dieing to go sledding with the shorties. Come on snow!!!!!

I'd like snow at Christmas to go with some fog/dense gloom on the shortest day of the year, but I know it isn't realistically going to happen that often. I saw snow either lying or falling on Christmas Day six times between 1993 and 2010 inclusive, so White Christmas fans in my area can't really complain too much even if it doesn't happen again for some years. I don't really associate New Year with any particular kind of weather.

Boy do I miss my NJ Christmas! Even though it doesn't snow in Miami, really was looking forward to some cooler weather, instead it is super hot.

These front always seem to stall mid Florida and we are always stuck of the hot side of the fronts.

I can't imagine a real Christmas or New Year's without snow; it's part and parcel of the holiday spirit and the spirit of the wintry holiday; with that in mind I also like to have some biting cold and some wind. the snow itself is quite wonderful, fun, and pretty, and it is a perfect companion to yuletide fires, Christmas lights, and decorations of all kinds . Icicles go well with Christmas lights and decorations as well. Also, Santa Claus drives a sleigh, not a mud buggy, so snow goes well with that too .

Yeah, I'd like snow at Christmas. I grew up with White Christmases and it just doesn't have the same feel without in my opinion.

no, don't want snow at my house. I can drive up to Lake Tahoe if I want snow.

It would be nice. We would have had a white Christmas were it not for the abnormally warm weekend we just had. There's actually a slight chance of snow tonight, but it probably won't amount to much, if any. At least it'll be cold.

We might have a couple flakes flying our way tonight . Low of 20 F with 0.57" in prediction. Not enough for a white christmas though, but will surely be a frosty one. Tomorrow's forecast calls for Hi:30 Lo:16 with cold wind and plenty of sunshine. Then, its warming up again. We might see even colder weather on New years day, with single digit lows. Boy am I happy. Old man winter has returned. Heat lovers, tine to scurry for cover and run elsewhere . Thank lord that horrific heat wave is over. Those hoping for warmth during christmas are crazy. Chicago like cold is the best type of christmas weather.
