Almost. Previous record was 73.77°F

Nice, France in 2013

Noteworthy points:
  • Wettest March ever (and probably the coolest as well)
  • A cool and dull spring overall, as in the rest of France and Europe, with May failing to hit even 22C despite above average sunshine, and coolish June highs
  • No frost recorded
  • A few very warm autumn days, with 24.7C in November, less than a degree short of the all-time record November high, and 20.6C in December
  • Very stable summer temperatures - highest in the whole year was 31.7C
  • A gloomy but dry October, but a wet and sunny December

January
Cooler and wetter but sunshine exactly average.

February
Cooler and wetter but average sunshine.

March
Extremely wet and very dull. Significantly cooler than average.

April
Wetter and duller than usual, but a little warmer, especially at night.

May
Sunnier but cooler and wetter than average. The highest temp of 21.7C in the whole month is remarkably low, especially after recording 23.6C in April.

June
Cooler but dry and sunny.

July and August
Normal days, but warmer nights. The highest temperatures in each month, respectively 31.3C and 30.7, are quite low.

September
Normal days but warm nights. Quite sunnier than average.

October
Dry but dull. Continues the trend started in July of average days but warmer nights.

November
A little milder, drier and sunnier than average.

December
A mild and sunny but wet month.

Best performing month (in relative terms vs. LTA): September - felt really sunny followed by December for a very sunny and mild first half

Worst performing month: March - wet, gloomy and still cool after a cooler than average winter , followed by October for being dull

Not your best ever year, but we in the maritime "temperates" would still envy it.

A VERY atypical year for Eugene and the western PNW as a whole. If it hadn't been for the typhoon remnants in late September, 2013 would've been on the dry side of semi-arid.

The first 14 or so days of December was a nice closer for 2013 although the rest of the month was very boring. Luckily, I left on December 9th for Sydney where it was nice and sunny almost every day.

No real thunderstorms to speak of though.

Where I was located the temperature got up to 41C twice and 40C twice. Highest low was 22C. Very little rain as well relative to the "average"...

Going from -23C to 28C and then 41C was pretty interesting.

Here is how Canada's temperature compared to the 1981-2010 normal. Note that in parts of British Columbia 2013 was the warmest year on record (example: Smithers). Also note the quickness at which the temperature deviation changed moving into Alberta.
