Hottest temperature in Canada since 2000 = 43°C in Woodrow, SK
Coldest temperature in Canada since 2000 = =-55°C Stewart Crossing and Burwash Landing, Yukon (where it is currently warmer than New Orleans!)
The Canadian hot spot has been in British Columbia in 11 of the past 14 years. Similarly, the nation's cold spot has been in the Yukon 8 of the past 14 years, and 6 of the past 7.
I forgot to mention that the coldest temperature in BC since 2000 was a -46°C/-51°F in 2005 at Germansen Landing.
