I was going by the summers. Vigo has two months where it doesn't get more than 5 rainy days. It's got a short dry season. London's rainfall is much more uniform, with no pronounced dry season, thus would appear "wetter".

London gets 109.4 rainy days per year and Vigo gets 129 rainy days (both on the 1mm threshold).

The ideal climate should have at least 2 months with lows below freezing just to kill off a lot of parasites and bugs.

I agree with Ariete to an extent, you need to be free of parasites and disease carrying bugs to be qualify for the best climate in my mind. I'd rather not have to worry about things like bot flies and malaria or tropical ulcers forming somewhere. I'd also like to not have to worry about a snake bite that cold cause necrosis or saltwater crocodiles in the watering holes. Azores is a viable climate for best/least worries but I think Bermuda may not be... Not that it has those things above but it is tropical and could present some issues.

You know, London isn't that cold, and is probably good for the bug aspect. If you were to simply go a bit south and more coastal, you could make it work.

The wetness is good as you could simply make some sort of bowl and leave it out for your water. Also, it seems to have good temps, if a bit chilly. I know it's similar to Vigo, but I just think that humans can naturally live further north than we think, after all, otherwise we might not have left Africa so fast.
