49F to 61F is quite a gradient over that small of area. Is the snowpack a lot deeper in the northern suburbs or something?

There are people sunbathing and even swimming in January here, when it's 13-14°C (mostly northern European tourists though).

Yesterday was definitely warm enough for it though - don't forget the sun is over 40° at midday here:

Certainly a very spring-like forecast for Edmonton:

Places in southern Alberta, e.g. Lethbridge, have temperatures of 15C in their forecast. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end of winter!

12:20pm temps. Feels very weird I can't clean up around house with a warm March 8 sun because snow still around. Strange.

Long Island looks a bit warmer than NYC.

Look at the CT coast and inland areas. It's cooler here than points north. Next update should increase more than shown here.

1 Year ago today 7.5" of snow fell here. It Started the evening before. Storm came from Tennessee Valley then transferred off Virginia and became a coastal moving up but stayed well off shore.

March 17th we had another 4 inches fall. Forgot it was a snowy March last year.

Let's refer back to last year again, 13C and it was fine for sun bathing in shorts and a t-shirt on April 26th.

It sure ain't silly, especially when you are coming from a below normal spring. 13C feels comfortable.
