I know honestly wish the whole world would keep repeating this winter . that way the north would become even more unattractive and make miami's tourism go higher .
I hope it repeats too To show how crappy our climate really is.
I'm going to start watching every update now just to get a sense of trends. Sick.
Here's the latest 12z now. Shows a Mid Atlantic storm not SouthEast for March 26th. Cold enough for snow.
.
So I showed the GFS6z SouthEast Storm on the 26th..., then the next update GFS 12z showed MidAtlantic snowstorm, why not complete the day with what the Euro12z shows now.
A New England blizzard on March 26th
Storm is likely to happen, million dollar question is WHERE & WHAT! Stay tuned.

Like there needs to be even more people crammed into Miami
I'd love to learn more about that business. Sounds intriguing.
True...and surprisingly true for CEF, but Not sure if March counts so much for the production period. Maybe there needs to be more above freezing days in February? The article said usually end of February they are grabbing it.
Before March 7th I see CEF only had 15 of 34 days above freezing and some of them only 1-3 above. Also reminder to self that hitting 33°F at 3pm for 2 hrs is not showing that a majority of the day was below freezing.
Good point on the bolded, probably highs in the 40s are needed for most of the day to be above freezing. All of our winter months have average highs above freezing, but it's obviously not warm enough for the trees, though sunlight must play a role. I think I remember seeing maple syrup being tapped in early March, but it continues until sometime in April, ending around the time when a lot of the spring growth comes out. March 2012 must have done something weird to the maple syrup season…
And check out March 2013 from that link. The difference is bigger than it looks since they use different scales. While there was over a week long stretch with highs in the 30s, there was only two night lows below 20°F (coldest 14°F). This month almost has 3/4 of the lows below 20°F with nearly half colder than the coldest night last year. And March 2013 wasn't a particularly warm March either. Not going to bother compare to March 2012.

Me too, it'd be nice if the entire world could keep experiencing South Florida's winter, over and over again. Many would pay Miami a visit just to say thank you.

Talking about stronger sunlight in cold Marches activating the trees despite the winter-like temperatures, I remember when I was living in London last year seeing the cherry blossoms coming out in the last week in March even though that March just got colder as it went on (it was the coldest late March in something like 200 years, and the last third of March 2013 was quite a lot colder than any week they'll have had down there this past winter), so it can only have been the stronger light that made them think it was spring.
Average high in March across the state ranges from about 47 F/8 C to 51 F/10.5 C, so t-shirt weather will be difficult to come by sans for the occasional mild days. I don't really start wearing t-shirts outdoors until April and not regularly until sometime in May or June.
Mid 50's and above are t shirt weather for me. I bought one for those occasional mild days. I start wearing t shirts at times in march and regularly after late April. Keep them on till mid October and sometimes even November. 39 with a wonderful sunset here.
