Miracle dusting of snow this morning, with temps in the teens, it coated roads. Not icy though, really dry snow.

That is very interesting. I'm curious to see the snow ratios down there. Have to look into that soon. Arctic air = fluff snow. Not something we see here much let alone down there.

Current temps, radar, storm reports, and metars. Up to 3/4" of sleet in LA and 2.5" of snow in southern MS.

Crazy warnings map for the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. Not very often you see coastal Louisiana, Northern Florida, and South Carolina under winter storm warnings.

Myrtle Beach, SC:

ACCUMULATIONS...ICE ACCUMULATION OF ONE-QUARTER TO AROUND A
HALF-INCH. ICE ACCUMULATIONS MAY EXCEED A HALF INCH AS YOU
APPROACH THE COAST. SNOW AND SLEET WILL ACCUMULATE TO 2 TO 4
INCHES WITH AMOUNTS CLOSER TO 5 AND 6 INCHES WELL INLAND FROM
THE COAST.

TEMPERATURES...FALLING THROUGH THE 20S. WIND CHILLS WILL FALL TO
AROUND 10 DEGREES TONIGHT.

Pensacola, FL:

* TIMING...A WINTRY MIX OF FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET WILL AFFECT MUCH
OF THE AREA NORTH OF BEACH AREAS THROUGH THE EARLY
AFTERNOON...TRANSITIONING TO SNOW FAR INLAND. THE WINTRY MIX OF
FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET OVER THE COASTAL COUNTIES SPREAD SOUTHWARD
TO INCLUDE BEACH AREAS BY MID TO LATE AFTERNOON WHILE SNOW PREVAILS
OVER INLAND AREAS. THE PRECIPITATION WILL TAPER OFF WEST OF I-65
DURING THE EARLY EVENING HOURS AND BE MOSTLY IN THE FORM OF LIGHT
SNOW. EAST OF I-65...LIGHT SNOW OVER INLAND AREAS AND A MIX OF
FREEZING RAIN AND SLEET CLOSER TO THE COAST WILL TAPER OFF DURING
THE LATE EVENING HOURS. SIGNIFICANT ICE...SLEET... AND SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS WILL OCCUR BEFORE PRECIPITATION COMES TO AN END
TONIGHT.

* IMPACTS...STORM TOTAL ICE ACCUMULATIONS AROUND A TENTH OF AN INCH
TO JUST LESS THAN A HALF INCH ARE EXPECTED...MAINLY ACROSS
LOCATIONS TO THE SOUTH OF THE U.S. HIGHWAY 84 CORRIDOR...WITH THE
HIGHER ICE ACCUMULATIONS OVER THE COASTAL COUNTIES. TOTAL SLEET AND
SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES ARE EXPECTED. ROAD CONDITIONS
ARE EXPECTED TO DETERIORATE THROUGH THE DAY INTO TONIGHT...AND
TRAVEL WILL BECOME DIFFICULT AS ROADS AND BRIDGES BECOME ICY. POWER
OUTAGES MAY BE POSSIBLE...ESPECIALLY IN AREAS WHERE SIGNIFICANT ICE
ACCUMULATION OCCURS.

* WIND CHILL VALUES...DROPPING TO 3 TO 10 AFTER MIDNIGHT THROUGH
EARLY WEDNESDAY MORNING.

New Orleans, LA:

IMPACTS...ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF ONE QUARTER OF AN INCH CAN BE
EXPECTED IN ALL LOCATIONS WITH ACCUMULATIONS POSSIBLY NEARING
ONE HALF INCH SOUTH OF LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN AND IN THE
METROPOLITAN NEW ORLEANS AREA. SNOW AMOUNTS OF ONE TO THREE
INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE ESPECIALLY IN
SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI AND THE ADJACENT LOUISIANA PARISHES.
ELSEWHERE IN THE WARNED AREA...SNOW AMOUNTS OF NEAR TO LESS THAN
ONE INCH ARE EXPECTED. IN ADDITION...A HARD FREEZE IS LIKELY ON
WEDNESDAY MORNING ACROSS THE ENTIRE AREA AND WIND CHILL VALUES
IN THE SINGLE DIGITS ARE POSSIBLE ON TUESDAY NIGHT AND EARLY
WEDNESDAY MORNING.

Current Surface Map. There's the front into the Gulf and over the Atlantic. Another strong arctic push
