We who live in Ft Myers (and Florida in general) put up with 3 months of hot/humid weather to get to the other 9 months, which are pretty nice. For instance, North of us is bracing for a terrible snow storm, but my Son is driving his open roadster to work here in Ft Myers today, and I may drive mine too. It is going to be in the 80's.
We are pretty spoiled here, when it gets to down to 60 degrees we start complaining about how cold it is.
Ft. Myers is closer to the equator. During summer in Florida fair skinned people can burn in 10 minutes
I lived at the equator, throughout the vertical sun season, have pale skin, and never got more than a light sunburn, and that was after spending two hours in a park on a sunny day in late March
Anyway, none of these climates resemble hell to me (Reykjavik or Yakutsk would), and Ft. Myers even looks excellent.
I would love to experience that, just in cooler temperatures though. Perhaps upper 60's during thunderstorms would be nice.
But wonderful neighborhood though. Wonder who lives there.
