I'm surprised as to how weak the heat records outside of summer for Nashville area. 90+ in only SIX Aprils on record? Even the supposedly chilly-in-spring NYC has done better that. Must be that downsloping east of the Appalachians and higher humidity in BNA.
Nashville is in that part of the world where reaching 90F or 100F is like pulling teeth but days on end hover at 89F and 99F . I decline to make a prediction in this case.
Pontiac Illinois about 60 miles southwest of Chicago hit 90 degrees today. My suburb reached 88F. The city should overcome lake cooling and be around 88 degrees tomorrow
Well I'm going to join the May 20-24 crowd. I'm seeing a cool spell around May 14-19, then warming up. I could see May 21 or so making a break for 90. Weather.com has 5/21 at 89. Then again, it could be 79 or it could be 93 that day. That's still 9 days out.
Then again, Weather.com has May 12 and 13 hitting 90. No one's voted May 10-14.
