The rain is really chucking it down here now. Picked up a pretty quick 76mm/3 inches, and with a bit of thunder as well. Completely windless though..... unlike much of the country.

Haven't noticed it at all in our part of the city - not vulnerable to easterly wind.

March was a rainy month. So was most of this April.

Thankfully now we're getting dry, sunny days with temps at around 22C-25C.

Sunshine was average and rainfall somewhat below average. My brother said that after I left, the weather improved considerably! I'll have to check the daily stats. for confirmation!

As long as it's not "permanent"!

A solid downpour here overnight, with exactly 100 mm/4 inches in the rainfall gauge,

The temperature rose rapidly once the rain stopped. It's now 20C/68F at 5.37 am.

Starry skies now, but more rain and thunder forecast for this morning.

Feb. sun values of 180 & 178 were a little above the current (or past) 30-year means.

Ended up with 34 mm yesterday and 25+ mm today. There seems to be a change of fortune in the scheme of things though:

If you get lucky, an upcoming El Nino should get rid of the easterly bias (above the average influence that is) that has hung around for a few years.

We were saved from setting a new low for sun in 14-day periods by a good dose of sunshine today.

Beautiful dry and sunny day in Buenos Aires, after the passage of a cold front yesterday. 18.4ºC right now. Low of 7.6ºC at the Central Observatory, it reached 3.9ºC in the suburban areas (Ezeiza).

First widespread frosts in Central Buenos Aires province, including -2.1ºC in Azul and -0.4ºC in Tandil.

Winds are already rotating to the northwest in some parts, so highs will be very mild.
