You're welcome!!! It looks like things will be rough down there for a while.
It hasn't been too bad. The precipitation is now light and the temperature is 31F. It could have been a lot worse. Roads are a little slick, and the trees seem to be holding up so far. Let's hope this ice storm stays minor.
Has anybody else noticed that this year, for some reason, the weather is coming up from the South West. Normally, comes down from the Northwest, but this year is kind of strange.
Well, I'm far enough North that the Nina brothers don't really effect us. For instance, this storm over the last couple days reached up to about 100 miles from us and stopped. We are more prone to the "Arctic Fronts" that drift down from our Northern brothers.
Seems that Nina's come in on the coast, drift south, then north, and miss us. Regardless of which Nina brother is bold this year. hahaha

You know what La Nina stands for in Spanish right?
Well, we got hit, that's for sure. Not as bad as January 2002 though! Still, there are thousands without power from OK up to IA...not good with the cold weather to contend with. My area was w/o electricity for around 6 hrs this morning...and I consider us lucky compared to many others who will be w/o pwr for up to a week!
Let's see, spring is how far off??
