I am probably the biggest critic of my own country, but that doesn't mean I won't defend it if I think others are talking nonsense about it.
and sports teams too

humid here, I just came home by bike and the 15c dewpoint (with 15c temperature) makes the atmosphere looks like a giant shower. The rain from a couple of days back is still on the ground and as a result it is very clammy. Very october like.

The next couple of days should be quite warm, reaching 25c in the afternoon, but all this humidity at night is kinda strange for the season.

Idk? English people attack my country constantly, even though they've mostly never been here.

Actually places immediately on the seashore will be much sunnier. Places like Portsmouth on the Channel, or the Baltic coast. Or indeed La Rochelle on the shores of the Atlantic.

Quite simple, Biarritz is near the Pyrenees, and I know from experience that that mountain range is a cloud magnet. It really enhances convection, you can see that Biarritz is significantly rainier than La ROchelle in summer. Compare the 1900-odd hours of St Girons at the foot of the mountains, to the 2000+ of Toulouse and then the 2100+ of Albi as one heads north. Brest, OTOH, is cloudier again as it's quite rainy being the first hit by Atlantic lows. Rain bands often approach from the SW and there's nothing stopping them in Brittany vs more southerly Charentes and Vendee.

Btw here's a treat for y'all sun and heat-starved polar bears My parents are headed that way tomorrow and I must say that I'm a tad jealous.

Typical weather from Sevilla... Some cooler days to prepare for the hot. Go for it!

Poor people from Sevilla, look at what they had in May of 2015. OMG https://www.tutiempo.net/clima/05-2015/ws-83910.html even a 40.8ºC day in the middle of the month. Dayum!

I guess the climate data on wiki is completely bogus then cause it states Seville avg high in May is 27C. Nothing like 10C above average being "typical". back at ya. I assume you are joking.

I was in Seville in September one year and it wasn't as hot as that forecast.

Yes, that's the stereotype of Sevilla: it's always too hot. but certainly is not that hot...
