As long as he got a two-week heatwave in July granted every year
The great shame for Alex is that his dream climate is impossible in real life because whenever winters get so cold, it's because of high-pressure systems that bring no snow and then so often summers aren't hot enough in cold places that actually snow (Nain etc).

That's why it's located on a fictional climate with a greater axial tilt than Earth.
Winters are very dry in my dream climate, but since the snow is usually extremely high ratio it still amounts to a lot. And a lot of snow falls in the shoulder seasons as well.
Second warm day in Spain... nothing rare although (not average), although nothing unseen in this season but above average in much of Spain and well above average also in much of Spain too...
Well above average in most of Portugal, France... with heavily above average in SW France. When someone makes a daily resume it must be neutral: Not pointing 1 single place of 10.
Well above in parts of Italy, above in other parts; well above in Belgium, Netherlands... and above in Cyprus and other parts of central and eastern Europe.
It is just that avg high temps in the 70'sF and the word "hot" should never be used in the same sentence. So which one is "warmer" would be more like it.
Seasonality. You haven't seen a table of my dream climate?
Although I'd say overall I'm a cold lover though, I do like heat from June-August with tons of rain though.
