Yes this phenomenon only happens around that time of day, in particular in mid June. Temperatures are already dropping away at Mt. Owen...

My thermometer showed 42C a few Julys ago. The didn't make it true.

Its been a nice/fair/average/awful (delete where necessary) day here, the temperature shown on the thermometer at work and on my bike showed 26C (which I obviously shouldn't mention because they are so obviously completely lying to me), which is quite a nice/fair/average/awful (delete where necessary) temperature to have while working, it may not be 30C and hot but its about avera....erm normal/abnormal/incredibly warm/very cold (delete where necessary) for the time of year..........................................Ther e are we ALL happy now? If you want to be so picky then I suggest you actually come to where I work and put the thermometer at the correct angle/height/position or whatever you want so that we can get the real accurate exact temperature to the exact precise degree or percentage of a degree so that we can all sleep at nigh. In the meantime the thermometers read 26C yesterday when I went out to lunch if you want to call me a liar then please feel free to come and tell me to my face and we can go check the thermometers together and then 'discuss it' instead of pathetically typing insults out from behind the safety of your keyboards.
