Evidence please.

What are the monthly snow stats for Leeds? I've no idea for here, but I'd imagine in a normal winter there would be at least some snow falling in November or December.
I remember December 2009 being very snowy in York. I was extremely drunk one night and decided to slide down Clifford's Tower hill only to hit a small snow covered wall and break my hand!

Not sure. We had snow in November 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2013. Settled in at least 3 of those years - 2008 I can't remember well. Settling snow in November 2013 was our only settling of the winter!

Yeah Dec 09 was snowy. We had a few inches on the ground for Christmas Day. Very festive. Our first snow on the ground would be in December. Not always but usually. Some years it isn't until January.

Berlin is snower than Winnepeg? I could be. It's defently much wetter in winter.

Scandinavia, Finland, parts of Northern Europe at 13:00 CET

Warmest so far today in Norway is 21.1C in Ålesund (Bingsa), at least four stations above 20C.
To bad it isn't November yet, would have been very close to a national high then. Might well be the warmest haloween ever for many towns.
