Schafernaker sade on the BBC forecast yesterday "mild for much of Northern Europe, but still some cold in Scandinavia". Yeah, only 7-9C. He probably forgot that highs should linger around freezing this time of the year.
Was a very chilly night in many parts of southern Europe last night, with most places considerably colder than northern Europe... Luqa airport in Malta had a low of 7.8C (the average low for December is 11.6C) & even here at the coast it dropped to 10.8C...
Unfortunately temperature has now dropped, probably unlikely we'll beat the record high now
