21C would be average, 22C is 1c above average, not exactly noticeably above normal.

21C is the average for the entire month though, so certainly not the first week. Between 19 and 20C must be about average surely?

Yeah 20C would be average for the start of June. I can't remember the last date that we were more than 2C above average.

Does the Met office keep daily averages for stations? We can get them from the NCDC

The UK Met Office does jack sh*t. But I don't know if you can access data like that with a subscription. They must have the data somewhere

Nope. The only averages we can get are on a monthly basis for average max, average min, rainfall, sunshine, wind speed, rain days and freezes.

I don't understand why they wouldn't make the daily averages public record?

The average high for 1st June is 20.2c, based on 30 years data from tutiempo.

The only thing I know is that the average high in the last week of May here is 18C. There is no chance in hell that I'm going to calculate each individual day.
