since chicago (the city, mind you) doesn't get any higher temperatures than say than freiburg germany, it's rather amusing you are pretending 26C isn't warm. alphaiter would probably say 26C is warm, but not "very warm" or "hot".
In my region at least people use terms like "warm" or "cool" based on the time of year and what the average conditions are. If your avg high is 87F in July, and a day of 26C is forecast, people and meteo's will describe it as a cool day.

So lower than Heathrow.
Do you even have an official web site that shows your monthly summaries?
Umm actually we are quite a bit warmer than Freiburg Germany.
First off I used someone living in Athens Greece as an example.
Second no, nobody here thinks of the upper 70F's 25/26C is being warm during the middle of the summer. maybe mild or comfortable at best. Warm is 80F/27C to about 88F/31C by my local standards during the middle of the summer.
This isn't the current forecast, but is our local met office trolling when they state that 75F/25C is "cool"
It's all relative to average though. In absolute terms, 25-26C is definitely not cool. Places that have average highs of 25-26C all year aren't cool.

Yes, I posted the links to the averages.
Not exactly fair to compare the last 3 abnormal years to our long term average though, is it? I could cherrypick 3 years with lower wind speeds. Why can't you accept Seattle's averages like on the link I posted?
The rest of London is still less windy than your cherrypicked years.

I never said that it wasn't relative to average. In the middle of spring or autumn 25-26C will indeed be considered warm here. But not in the summer. Someone doesn't have to live in Basra to find 25-26C "cool" in the middle of the summer.
It's going to be hot in the US and cooler in Europe next week. Must be trolling. I better contact Dr Cohen and tell him to flip that forecast! LOL

Last 3 years were warmer, it has nothing to do with the wind. Wind speed is similar. Actually wind speed tends to be lower when it's cloudy and cooler in summer.
It's going to be cooler than today, but still around 23-26c, which is normal in July.
