Nobody was even talking about England's climate and what people think of it. They were talking about chicagogeorge. It's already been established that you and chicagogeorge think English summers are the worst things in the world - no need to go over that again.
I have a general distaste for all oceanic summers. Not just English summers. Any warm weather lover here would agree. England isn't the place to find warm weather. Though the worst summers in the world would have to be somewhere even further north Scotland and Ireland for example. Is this horrible? There are many on here who hate the cold and can't stand continental winters. I accept this, and really don't give a ****.
Aside from my own personal opinion, nothing that I have posted recently has indicated any bias. What ever the models say, I post. Warm, cold or neutral solutions. I go to the same sites, and use the same models (GFS, GEFS, GEPS, EC, GEM, CFS...)

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.. but there's generally no need to go on about it too much. Only annoys me when people make out like people here are stuck wearing coats and sweaters all year because it never gets warm enough to do otherwise. Again, acclimatization. Like Sunday - 23C with sunshine, pretty much everyone in T-shirts and shorts. You'd find that very cool for July but to us it's warm. I saw people in shorts this morning when it was 17C and again you'd probably consider that a cool morning.
Anyway, I find it interesting that once again we are having a short-lived 'hot snap' that could break records, like last year. Maybe our heatwaves are shorter but more intense now? GFS and other models undercooked temperatures today by around 3C, so who knows what will happen tomorrow. I expect 31 or 32C here.

I'd much rather have our normal style summer rather than mostly below average with 1 really hot day.
All those months are pretty close to my ideal summer climate (except for the sunshine - would prefer higher), though I prefer more consistent temperatures as opposed to random heat spikes.

If one isn't warm or hot, then one must be cold. If one is cold, then they could be expected to display signs of that - heavy clothing, shivering, seeking sources of heat etc. I don't see that during my summer.
Might be better to refer to warmer weather or hot weather.
