Where is the Cawood station?

Readings from rooftop sites are certainly no good. The lows especially are going to be dramatically different.
If I leave my car on the driveway within 6 feet of the house, the car windscreen will be completely ice free. Yet my wife's car behind mine will have a frozen windscreen.
It's amazing how much heat is retained and then lost through the buildings.

No idea where it is specifically but Cawood is about 5 miles east of Church Fenton.

That University of Leeds station seems fairly accurate for daytime highs but might over-read at night - although saying that the station recently fell to -3.5C, which is similar to Linton on Ouse.

Getting sleet and rain right now with the "cold front". Funny thing this is. Left is today, right is yesterday:

Will it ever be cold again in the UK? Just a week of cold, snowy weather will do, then back to mild after that.
Once we get in to mid February, I'm going in to spring mode, so it only gives me a few more weeks before my preferences change.

Bloody Brexit.

The very cold spell hasn't gone away yet, mid Jan is still looking bad.
